Restart the laptop and if it doesn't boot from the USB go into BIOS and enable USB legacy or CSM (I don't know your laptop but one or the other option should be there). Once you have the recovery drive, insert it into the laptop and then start the laptop and alter the boot option to boot from USB first. In the host computer Go to Control panel > Recovery and find the link "create a USB recovery drive". All you need is a 8GB USB flashdrive and 40-60 minutes of time. If you haven't got one, you can create one from any known working Win 10 computer. If this doesn't work try booting from a Win 10 USB recovery drive. Once you have booted into the Windows Recovery Environment menus select Troubleshooting > Advanced > Startup repair and follow the prompts.ĭO NOT select Reset this PC as this will reinstall Win 10 and erase all your data.
